This year it happened during week 40. The temperature dropped below zero for the first time, and winds from east and north chased the last bit of summer green away. Welcome, ocean blue.

And welcome nudibranchs. Around here they are mostly absent in the warmer summer months, but very present during winter. On today’s dives we saw a lot of Limacia clavigera. This is a small, up to 20mm, very beautiful nudie with a white body and bright yellow gills and rhinophores.
